Romanian TV Airplay Chart

Romanian singer Smiley (pictured) is the most successful act on the chart with eight number-one singles.

The Romanian TV Airplay Chart is a weekly chart compiled by broadcast monitoring service Media Forest, which lists the top ten most broadcast Romanian and foreign songs on five Romanian television channels: 1 Music Channel, Kiss TV, MTV Romania, UTV Romania and ZU TV.[1][2] First published in 2009,[1] the chart is based on the full broadcasts tracks receive on the aforementioned television stations, determined by acoustic fingerprinting.[3] During late 2000s and the 2010s, more than 100 singles reached the number-one position on the Romanian TV Airplay Chart, the first being "Undeva-n Balcani" by Romanian rapper Puya in 2009. "Tot mai sus" by Guess Who and DeMoga has spent 13 weeks at the chart's summit in 2011, longer than any other song. The most successful act is Smiley with eight number-ones. As of 1 October 2018, the current number one on the Romanian TV Airplay Chart is "Girls Like You" by American group Maroon 5 and rapper Cardi B.
