Ro is an end-to-end men’s health company that diagnoses, prescribes and delivers treatment for erectile dysfunction.[1] The company is headquartered in New York City.[2]
Overview
Ro was launched in October 2017 as Roman by Zachariah Reitano, Saman Rahmanian, and Rob Schutz.[3] Reitano’s experience with erectile dysfunction led him to cofound Roman.[4] The company has both a telemedicine practice and a pharmacy that's able to distribute medications specifically for erectile dysfunction, such as Viagra, Cialis, Levitra and generic versions of erectile dysfunction medications.[5][6] It raised $3.1 million in the funding rounds led by General Catalyst[7] and $88 million in a round led by FirstMark Capital.[8]
Platform
Patients fill out a dynamic online visit answering questions about their health, lifestyle, medical history, and symptoms.[9][10] A physician will review the results and prescribe medication if appropriate.[9] Medications will then be shipped in discreet packaging and the medicines will be refilled monthly or quarterly.[11]
