The flowers are white.[1]

Cultivars may have white, cream, pink or red flowers.[2][3] Red cultivars include 'Fireworks'.[4][5]

R. pinnata is useful as an ornamental groundcover plant for the margins of streams or ponds. The cultivar ‘Superba’ has gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit.[6][7]
