Rodrigo "Rod" Castro (born June 25, 1983) is an American session guitarist, composer, and songwriter. Castro has written and recorded music for TV shows including Lip Sync Battle, Little Big Shots, X-Factor, America's Got Talent, Gene Simmons Family Jewels and The Two Coreys, LA Ink, 90210 and A&E's documentary Finding Hulk Hogan.

Castro currently plays guitar for Atlantic artist MILCK, SuperNaked (managed by Jon Lovitz), composes music for The Bleeding Fingers Custom Music Shop (A Hans Zimmer & Extreme Music Partnership) and records music for Magic Mike Live in Las Vegas.

Session work

Castro currently works as the resident session guitarist for Skip Saylor and has recorded/written & performed with artists including MILCK, Zayn Malik, Meklit, Tyga, Ceelo Green, Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men, Raphael Saadiq, Bian Liunian, Dina El Wedidi, LP, Snoop Dogg, Elliott Yamin, Fishbone, Machine Gun Kelly, Daniel Bedingfield, David Campbell, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Johnny Gill, E-40, Ronnie Hudson, Too $hort, Scarface, and Bootsy Collins.

Candyman 187 & Tha Havenotz

Hip hop artist Candyman 187 and his entourage, known as The Havenotz, recorded an album with Skip Saylor. Rod became the official guitarist for the group as well as co-producer/writer and musical director. The yet to be released album features artist collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Shock G of Digital Underground, Bootsy Collins, "Daughtry" drummer Robin Diaz, Shavo Odadjian of System Of A Down, Reggie Calloway of Midnight Star, Rick Rouse of George Clinton and Burt Bacharach violinist Eliza James.
