Roberto Jaguaribe

Graduated in Systems Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Ambassador Roberto Jaguaribe (born 27 December 1952) joined the diplomatic service in 1978 [1] . He served abroad as the Brazilian Ambassador to the People´s Republic of China and to the United Kingdom, and was Minister-Counsellor at the Embassy of Brazil in Washington, DC.

At the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he held the posts of Undersecretary General for Political Affairs II, Director of the Trade Promotion Department and head of the Intellectual Property and Sensitive Technologies Division, among others.

He also held the posts of President of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), Secretary of Industrial Technology at the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (MDIC),[2] and Secretary of International Affairs at the Ministry of Planning and Budget (MPOG). Since 2016, Ambassador Roberto Jaguaribe is President of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency - Apex-Brasil. [3]
