Robert Pelikán (born 18 October 1979[1]) is a Czech lawyer and politician who served as Minister of Justice from 2015 to 2018.

Biography

Pelikán studied at the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague. From 2008 to 2014 he worked for the law firm Vrána & Pelikán, which he co-founded. He served as the First Deputy Minister of Justice from June 2014,[1] and succeeded Helena Válková as Minister of Justice in 2015.

He was criticized by Pavel Zeman, Supreme Public Prosecutor of the Czech Republic, for his plan to increase state executive control over the Prosecutor's Offices.[2][3]
