Robert M. Sherwood (August 11, 1936 - October 2, 2016) was an American Seascape artist. He was born to Howard and Maude Sherwood August 11, 1936. He was raised in Cape Meares, Oregon.
Robert was a full-time professional artist, His passion to reproduce nature as he saw it was a gift to all of us, his seascapes paintings could be found all around the country. His love of painting helped him spread his knowledge as an instructor for other artists.[1]
Sherwood was known to sign his work with both his first & last name. It's not uncommon to just see his last name on his portraits, in 2014 some of his works were at Clars Auction house in Oakland, California: "Wave in Sunlight" 1975 & "Beach Cave".
