Robert Desmond (1928 - 2002) was a British film and television actor of the 1950s and 1960s.

He started out as a juvenile performer, making his film debut in 1948's The Guinea Pig and recreated his television role of Spud Parker the following year in the film version of Boys in Brown. He went on to appear in The Cockleshell Heroes (1955), Indiscreet (1958), The Ugly Duckling (1959), Sink the Bismarck! (1960), The Bulldog Breed (1960), The Best of Enemies (1961) and The Great Escape (1963).

On television he appeared in popular sitcom The Army Game as Private Billy Baker and had recurring roles in soap operas Crossroads (as Tod Miller) and Compact (as Adrian Coombs). Other television appearances include The Adventures of Robin Hood, ITV Play of the Week and The Avengers.
