Rob Shimshock is an American journalist and satirist, whose work addresses education, technology, media, and video games.

Early life

Shimshock graduated from the University of Virginia with English and media studies dual majors. While at UVA, he scripted and designed computer games, served on the student judiciary committee, and wrote humor and arts and entertainment articles for UVA’s student paper, The Cavalier Daily.[1]

Career

During college, Shimshock interned for Milo Yiannopoulos at Breitbart News, covering technology and video games.[2] He also published education stories at Campus Reform as a campus correspondent.[3] Shimshock stayed on with Campus Reform as an intern after graduating from UVA. The Daily Caller News Foundation, the nonprofit side of The Daily Caller, hired him in February 2017 as an education reporter.[4][5]

From April to September 2017, Shimshock hosted The Shimshock Show, a bimonthly Daily Caller commentary and satire program for which he dressed up as Antifa and social justice activists, as well as interviewed campus speakers like conservative author Ben Shapiro. He subsequently joined The Rebel Media, where he hosts and produces the Campus Unmasked program.[6] Shimshock has discussed campus stories and Antifa with Bill O’Reilly on No Spin News,[7][8] Gavin McInnes on CRTV,[9] and Liz Wheeler on One America News Network.
