Ripley Eagles Rand (born c. 1970) is a North Carolina attorney and jurist who was confirmed in late 2010 as the United States Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina. President Barack Obama nominated him to the post on July 28, 2010.[1]
Rand, the son of former state Senator Tony Rand, is a former state prosecutor and former state superior court judge (2002–2010).
Rand earned both a B.A. and a Juris doctor from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He co-wrote a children's book entitled I Want to Go to UNC![2]
