Riot.im, an instant messaging software based on Matrix communication protocol. The initial name of riot.im was vector.im.[1] Riot.im is a free software distributed under Apache2 license. [2] Riot.im is a distributed collaboration and instant messaging software which supports federation between different servers.[3]

Riot.im supports end to end encryption, groups, channels and sharing of files between users.[4]
