Rightline Gear is a automotive aftermarket equipment manufacturer founded in 2008 by Loran Evans, the founder of Melon Bicycles, in Asheville, North Carolina, United States.
Rightline Gear specializes in Car Top Carriers, Jeep Wrangler products, truck tents, and truck accessories like weatherproof cargo nets. Rightline Gear products are available Internationally by a variety of retailers.[1] The company itself is located in Asheville, NC. This facility develops, tests, and partially produces car top carriers and certain other items. Car top carriers by this brand became available in 1997 and is the main Rightline Gear product. They are available for the most popular American vehicle applications, with or without roof racks. In 2003, the brand introduced truck tents that are designed for truck and SUV camping.[2]

Rightline Gear products are marketed under the Rightline Gear brand name. Prior to 2012 they used using a family branding or umbrella branding approach. At that time the car top carriers and accessories are advertised under PackRight, while all of the truck, SUV, and pop up tents fell under CampRight.

Rightline Gear's line of Car Top Carriers include their patented Cargo Saddlebag, which fits on the back of SUVs or Minivans.[3]
