Riga Nakhimov Naval School

The Riga Nakhimov Naval School (Latvian: Rigas Nachimova Skola; Russian: Рижское Нахимовское военно-морское училище) is one of the former Nakhimov Naval Schools in the Soviet Union. It existed from 1945 to 1953.

History

It was created on July 21, 1945, and became the third Nakhimov school in the USSR (after Tbilisi and Leningrad. It was officially inaugurated on August 30, 1945. In 1953 it disbanded, and its pupils joined the Leningrad Naval Forces.[1]
