Richard Gay (born 9 March 1969) is an English former professional rugby league footballer of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. He played at representative level for England, and at club level for Hull F.C., St. George Dragons, and Castleford Tigers, as a fullback, or wing, i.e. number 1, or, 2 or 5.[1]

Playing career

International honours

Richard Gay won caps for England while at Hull in 1995 against Wales, and France.[2]

Premiership Final appearances

Richard Gay played fullback and scored a try in Hull F.C.'s 14-4 victory over Widnes in the Premiership Final during the 1990–91 season at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday 12 May 1991.[3]

Outside of rugby league

Richard Gay now works as a Physical education teacher. He covers for ill teachers. He was at Sydney Smith School in Anlaby, Kingston upon Hull.
