Richard António Carapaz Montenegro (born 29 May 1993) is an Ecuadorian cyclist riding for Movistar Team.[1] He was named in the startlist for the 2017 Vuelta a España.[2]
In May 2018, he was named in the startlist for the 2018 Giro d'Italia.[3] He won stage 8 of the race, becoming the first Ecuadorian cyclist to win a stage in a Grand Tour.[4]
