Controversy
The shows featured "rich kids" have been heavily criticised by the Great British public for some of the actions that the "rich kids" have displayed during their time on the show. The incident which caused the most anger amongst fans includes featured "rich kid", Angelina Green, who refused to stay in the family's house that she was meant to be sleeping on the sofa in, as she feared spiders and she saw one in the living room, so she used her own money to book a hotel, which the shows narrator claimed was "cheating".[5][6][7]
In episode five, the episode following Angelina's decision to book and stay in a hotel, the next "rich kid", Jodie Weston also decided to stay in a hotel as she claimed that the house of the person that she was meant to be staying in with was her 'idea of a nightmare'.[8][9]
