Rhinomugil is a genus of mugilid mullets from southern Asia to Australia where they are found in fresh water and brackish water habitats. They are sometimes known as false four-eyed fish due to their resemblance to the four-eyed fish (Anableps) of the tropical Americas.

There are currently two recognized species in this genus:[1]

  • Rhinomugil corsula (F. Hamilton, 1822) (Corsula)
  • Rhinomugil nasutus (De Vis, 1883) (Shark mullet)
