Rhesala imparata, sometimes referred to as an Albizia defoliator,[1] is a moth of the family Noctuidae.[2] It is found in Sri Lanka,[3] India, Taiwan,[4] Singapore and Borneo.[5]

Wingspan of adult is 10-11mm. Body of caterpillar is cylindrical, slightly wider centrally and a dull, wrinkled, a plain watery grass-greenish colored. Head shining light orange, with long brown colored setae. Pupation take place in a close, ovoid silk cocoon. Pupa lack a bloom. Caterpillars are known to feed on Acacia, Albizia, Delonix, Tamarindus and Samanea species.[6] The moth was newly discovered as a pest on Boswellia serrata from India.[7]
