ResetEra is an Internet forum that discusses video games.

History

ResetEra was founded by former members of the NeoGAF forum, after allegations of sexual harassment against the owner of NeoGAF Tyler Malka led to a mass exodus of moderators and users seeking a replacement forum.[1] Before the creation of the forum, the community used Discord chat servers to organize itself.[2]

The ResetEra forum is based on the XenForo forum platform.[3] Security has been an important focus of the forum's administrators and developers in anticipation of potential disruptions from GamerGate and alt-right communities.[4][5]

Within the first four days, ResetEra had over 20,000 active members and over 200,000 posts.[6]
