Research Institute of the Finnish Economy

The Research Institute of the Finnish Economy (ETLA, Finnish: Elinkeinoelämän tutkimuslaitos, Swedish: Näringslivets forskningsinstitut) is a major Finnish think tank for economic, policy and social studies, financed by employers' organisations. ETLA's offices are located in Helsinki, Finland.

ETLA was established in 1946 and since its establishment it has published about 250 books and 600 other research publications. Its quarterly published economic trends and forecasts analysis of the Finnish economy named "The Finnish Economy and Society" is the most reputed such publication in Finland.

Since 1 May 2012, the chairman of ETLA's board of directors has been Vesa Vihriälä.[1]
