Reis Robotics is one of the leading technology companies for robotics and system integration. Their robotic automation solutions are used manyapplication fields such as solar energy, foundry and welding.[1]
Reis Robotics comprises three German subsidiaries and eight international subsidiaries as well as representative agencies in many countries.[2] Reis Robotics USA has two locations, the headquarters in Elgin, IL and the west coast technical center in Valencia, CA.
Reis Robotics was founded in 1957 in Obernburg, Bavaria, Germany by Walter Reis.
In 2013, KUKA, an industrial robots-manufacturing company acquired 51% shares of Reis Robotics.[3][4]

In addition to robots and peripheral modules, Reis Robotics produces spotting and trimming presses and trimming tools. The company makes full turnkey solutions for photovoltaics.[5]
