Rayimberdi Seydakmatovich Duishenbiev (Kyrgyz: Райимберди Сейдакматович (Сейдакмат уулу) Дуйшенбиев, Rayimberdi Seydaqmatoviç (Seydaqmat uulu) Duyşenbiyev) is a Kyrgyzstani General and the current Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic since May 11, 2016.[1][2][3][4]He is also the former commander of the Kyrgyzstan Frontier Force.[5][6]

Career

In 1995, he graduated from the Alma-Ata Higher Border Command School of the Republic of Kazakhstan and graduated from the Frontier Academy of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in 2007. In August 2011, he was appointed deputy head of the border department of the Kyrgyz Republic. From November 2013 to February 2014, he temporarily served as chairman of the State Border Service. On February 22, 2014, he served as the head of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic. On May 11, 2016, by the Decree of the President of Kyrgyzstan, he was appointed Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.[7][8]
