Rathish Ambat is an Indian Film Director and producer working in the Malayalam film industry.

Rathish Ambat started his career as an Assistant Director and has worked with film makers Lal Jose, Blessy and Shyamaprasad. Along with films, Rathish has been successful in Ad films too. He has made several ad films for Josco, Manorama News, Mathrubhoomi Classifides, Indulekha, Asianet News, Skyline Builders, etc. He co-produced the Malayalam film Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal in 2013. In 2014 , Rathish made a film for Kerala Tourism[1] which fetched the department the silver at the Golden Gate awards at the Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB-Berlin) - 2015.[2] This award is considered as the tourism Oscars. In 2018, Rathish made his first directorial venture with the malayalam film Kammara Sambhavam,[3] which starred Dileep & Siddharth.[4]

Career

Beginning his career as an ad filmmaker, Rathish Ambat is an Indian director and producer, who works in the Malayalam film industry.[5] He is famous for shooting ads for popular brands like Asianet News, Josco, Emke Silks, Skyline builders and Malayala Manorama. Rathish also shot the popular The Great Backwaters' campaign for the Kerala Tourism board[1] to promote the backwaters of Kerala. The ad went on to fetch the Silver at the Golden Gate awards at the Internationale Tourismus-Börse Berlin (ITB-Berlin) in 2015.[2] The award is considered as the tourism Oscars. Rathish turned a co-producer in 2013 with the Dileep and Rima Kallingal starrer, Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal.

He started his film career as an Assistant Director and has worked with film makers Lal Jose, Blessy and Shyamaprasad. In 2018 Rathish made his debut as a director with the action-drama Kammara Sambhavam. The film was written by his long time friend, Murali Gopy.[6] The movie will see Dileep in a triple role and Tamil actor Siddharth play another important character. Apart from them the cast also includes Murali Gopy, Namitha Pramod, Bobby Simha, Kenny Basumatary and Shweta Menon.
