Raphaël Fortin

Raphaël Fortin (born 1980)[1] is leader of the New Democratic Party of Quebec. He was elected at the NDPQ leadership election held on January 21, 2018 defeating former MP Raymond Côté with 62% of the vote to 38% of the vote for his opponent.[1]

Fortin had previously been a candidate for the New Democratic Party in two federal elections running in Verchères—Les Patriotes in 2008 and Pierre-Boucher—Les Patriotes—Verchères in 2015, losing on both occasions.

He holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal and has worked in the hospitality industry.[1]
