Rangpur Cantonment

Rangpur Cantonment is a cantonment located in, Rangpur, Rangpur Division, Bangladesh.[1][2] Rangpur area commander of Bangladesh Army is Major General Md Masud Razzaque.[3]

History

During the Bangladesh Liberation war Pakistan soldiers stationed in the cantonment fought battles against Santals armed with spears.[4] In April 1971 Santals attacked the Cantonment.[5]
