Randy Rigby

Randy Rigby was the team president of the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s Utah Jazz. Rigby had served as Utah Jazz team president since 1986.[1] [2] In his capacity as Jazz Team President, Rigby set strategic goals for the organization and analyzed growth opportunities. He also sits on the advisory board for the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies and is a member of the NBA Team Advisory Committee.

However, on February 17, 2016, Rigby announced his decision to retire from serving as the Utah Jazz' team president.[3] Rigby was succeeded in the role of Utah Jazz team president by Steve Starks.[4]

Rigby previously served as senior vice president of sales, broadcasting and chief marketing officer for Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment, in addition to General Manager of KJZZ-TV. Rigby came to the Jazz from CFS Financial Corporation where he worked for three years as senior vice president.

Rigby is a 1979 graduate of Brigham Young University (BYU), where he earned a degree in business management with a special emphasis in finance and marketing. He serves on various boards in the Salt Lake area which include the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Alliance, Utah Chapter of the American Lung Association, Salt Lake City Police Foundation, Junior Achievement, Rising Star Outreach[4] and the Hale Centre Theatre’s Board of Trustees.

He and his wife, Sandra, have been married 31 years. They have four daughters, one son and seven grandchildren. The couple resides in Farmington, Utah. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
