Ralph Adrianus Joseph Gerardus Hamers (born 25 May 1966) is a Dutch businessman, the chief executive officer (CEO) of ING Group, a Dutch multinational banking and financial services corporation, and a Fortune Global 500 company.
Early life
Ralph Hamers was born on 25 May 1966.[2][3][1] He has a master's degree in business econometrics/operations research from Tilburg University.[3]
Career
Hamers joined ING in 1991.[3] Hamers has been CEO of ING since 1 October 2013.[4]
In 2018, there was an uproar in the Netherlands following a proposal to raise his yearly salary from euro 1.6 million to euro 3 million. [5] Following the uproar, the Board withdrew the offer, leaving his salary unchanged.
Personal life
He is married, with twins.[6]
