Rakhi Bandhan (Bengali: রাখি বন্ধন) is a Bengali television soap opera that premiered on November 28, 2016 and airs on Star Jalsha. Sayanta Modak, Sraboni Bhunia, and Subhrojit Saha play lead roles. The show ran in dubbed Tamil as Minmini Pookal, airing on Vijay Super, but has since been stopped.[1] The show's USP is the unique bonding between the young actors Krittika and Soham, who played Rakhi and Bandhan respectively. Krittika was applauded for her comic timing, dialogue delivery and expressions. The show took a leap of 12 years in September 2018 and the young actors were replaced by Subhrajit and Srabani as Bandhan and Rakhi respectively.

The show is produced by Blues Productions and is currently aired in the 10:00 pm slot.

Plot summary

Rakhi Bandhan is a Bengali family drama. It is a sweet relationship based story between a brother and a sister. Bandhan and his sister, Rakhi are orphans. Neglected by their relatives, they become each other's support system. Their aunt Malina and a local goon Champa Chameli Das are troublemakers in Rakhi and Bandhan's lives.

12 years leap

The show leaps ahead 12 years following Rakhi and Bandhan Who are grown up now, but their bonding as brother and sister is not good.
