Rajkumar Sudamji Badole (born 28 March 1963) is an Indian politician from Maharashtra. He is a Bharatiya Janata Party member represents the Arjuni-Morgaon)[1] in 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. Currently he is Cabinet Minister for Social Justice & Special Assistance[2][3] in Devendra Fadnavis ministry (2014–).

Early life

Rajkumarji Badole was born on 28 March 1963 in Gondia district of Maharashtra region. He completed his higher secondary education from Zilla Parishad School and then pursued Civil Engineering degree. After successful completion of his degree he joined Maharashtra State Irrigation Department as a Branch Engineer in Buldhana District. He served the post from 1985 to 2008.

Personal life

Rajkumar Badole's mother's name is Gangabai and father's name is Sudam Badole. He married Sharda Badole. They have a daughter Shruti and two son Aniket and Swapnil.[4] He is belongs to Buddhist religious family and he strongly believes in Buddhism.[5][6] In July-August 2018, he was became a Buddhist Samanera in Thailand.[7][8]

Political career

Rajkumarji Badole started his public life in 2009 when he was elected as BJP MLA for the first time from Sadak Arjuni constituency with a major win of 39000 votes. In 2014, he was reelected from Arjuni Morgao and became a Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra State. He was also given responsibility of being guardian minister of Gondia district in 2014.[9]

In 2013 he proposed changes to School Education departments' syllabus to include seniors into its Moral Values Education.[10]

In 2018 Badole was accused of taking bribes by Member of Legislative Council Anil Parab from Shiv Sena party.[11]
