Rajeev Sivashankar (born 1967 in Konni, Pathanamthitta) is an Indian novelist and short story writer in Malayalam language. He is from Konni, Pathanamtitta district of the south Indian state of Kerala.

Career

He works in Malayala Manorama (Kochi) as Assistant Editor.

Writing career

At age 12 he won the Mathrubhoomi story writing competition and that story was published in Mathrubhoomi weekly. After a break of 33 years, at the age of 45 he again started writing. five novels and a short story collection are published till now. THAMOVEDAM, PRANASANCHARAM,KALPRAMANAM,PUTHRASOOKTHA are the novels. DAIVAMARATHILE ILA is the story collection. His notable stories are Samadhanathinte Vazhikal,kailasanadhan (published in Samakalika Malayalam), Reality Show (Kalakaumudi) and Daivavicharam, Vivahavarhikam (Bhashaposhini).

Thamoveadam

Thamoveadam, published on 2013 April by D. C. Books, is Rajeev's first novel.[1] The novel is based on the growing anarchist cult in the state of Kerala. Set in an imaginary village called Kavathy, the novel discusses the issue through the main character Viswanathan, who had devilish eccentricity from birth.[2] Then he came to kochi and took charge of practicing satanic worship.The first part of the book which deals with Viswanathan's childhood and early youth is set in the fictitious village of Kavathy in Central Travancore, and forms the core of the novel. In the second part of the novel, the arena shifts to the city of Cochin and to the world of Black Mass and its followers.

Pranasancharam

Rajeev's second novel, Pranasancharam, was published in October 2013 by DC bbooks. It discusses the other side of material life and travels through a fantasy-like world.

kalpramanam

Rajeev's third novel, kalpramanam, was published in November 2014 by NBS (SPCS). It discusses the environmental issues in kerala

putrasooktham

Karal Marx,Kailasam veedu

Karal Marx,Kailasam veedu is a fictional account of village life. It is a satire. This book was published in August 2016 by Poorna Publication.

Maraporul

Maraporul is fiction based on the life of Sri Sankaracharya.

Kalipakam is a fiction based on kali's story in the epic Mahabharatha.

Pennarasu
