Rafiath Rashid Mithila is a Bangladeshi singer, model, and actress, born on May 25, 1984.[3][4] She became a Programme Manager with BRAC International,[5] where she is currently the Head of Early Childhood Development.

Rafiath Rashid Mithila started her career as a development professional. After completing education, she joined BRAC, the largest non-government organization in the world as a researcher prior to moving to the US where she worked for the Minneapolis Public School District. After living one year in the US she came back to Bangladesh and started working in Scholastica High School. She also worked in Northern University as a lecturer.

Early life and education

Mithila was a student of Political Science at the University of Dhaka.[6] She completed her Masters in Early Childhood Development from BRAC University with the Chancellor's Gold Medal.[7][8] She took basic creative dance lessons under Gulam Mustafa of Benuka Dance School.[3] She was a student of the art school Nandan. Her some landscape oil paintings were displayed in Drik Gallery in a group exhibition.[3]

Career

Mithila started her modeling career in 2002 with the cultural and fashion shows of fashion house Neelanjana Palli.[3] She appeared in ads for the products of Jui, Robi, Aftab Foods, Meril, Bajaj, Close up and Aktel.[6] She was the model in the music video Moyna Go and Ghum by the musician Habib Wahid.[3]

Mithila acted in the television serial "House Full", directed by Redoan Rony and Iftakher Ahmed Fahmi.[9] She attained popularity for her role in the Houseful TV series. Mithila acted in various popular dramas including X-Factor, Pendulum and Denmohor.

Rafiath Rashid Mithila has more than ten years of experience working in the development sector. Currently, she is working as the Head of Early Childhood Development in BRAC International.

Personal life

Mithila met Tahsan Rahman Khan, a musician, in 2004, and they married on 6 August 2006.[6] Together they have a daughter, Ayra Tehreem Khan (b. 2013). In July 2017, on a Facebook post, the couple announced their divorce.[10]
