Rabinder Buttar

Dr Rabinder Buttar FRSE is the founder, CEO & Chair Person of Clintec International, a global Clinical Research Organisation that offers full and functional service solutions to Biotech, Pharma & Medical Device industries.

Academia

Dr Buttar holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Glasgow and a PhD in Immunology from the University of Strathclyde.[1] as well as a certificate in Management from Reading, and received an honorary doctorate from the University of the West of Scotland. She served for four years on the board of the Institute of Clinical Research UK (ICR), is an Honorary Fellow of ICR,[1] a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and, in 2014, she became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.[2]

Awards

Clintec International was established by Dr Buttar, and is now a mid-market Clinical Research Organisation, led, owned and chaired by Dr Buttar.

In 2009, Dr Rabinder Buttar was named the Institute of Directors, 'Director of the Year' for Glasgow & West of Scotland,[3] and in 2010, she received the Ernst & Young Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year award[4] In 2014, Dr Buttar was listed by the British Science Council as one of the top 10 practising entrepreneurial scientists in Britain and has previously been named as one of Britain’s top 100 entrepreneurial women (Real Business). During 2015, Dr Buttar was inducted into Strathclyde’s Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs, and has received many prestigious awards such as Ernst & Young ‘Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year’, the Institute of Directors ‘Director of the Year’ and Business Woman of the Year (People Make Glasgow); all of her accolades recognize Dr Buttar’s success in global business, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
