R. W. E. Jones was an American football coach. He served as first head football coach at the Louisiana Negro Normal and Industrial Institute—now known as Grambling State University—in Grambling, Louisiana and he held that position for two seasons, in 1928 and again in 1931. Grambling did not field a team in 1929 or 1930. His coaching record at Grambling was 1–1.[1]
