R. R. "Bud" Dougherty (? – September 1937) was an American football coach. He was the second head football at Jamestown College—now known as the University of Jamestown—in Jamestown, North Dakota, serving for two seasons, from 1916 to 1917, and compiling a record of 9–1.[1] Dougherty died of apoplexy in 1937.[2]

Dougherty coached at Dakota Wesleyan University from 1919 to 1926.[3]
