Quercus braianensis[1] is the accepted name of an endemic tree species in the Asian sub-genus of 'ring-cupped oaks' and the family Fagaceae; there are no known subspecies.[2][3]
The species appears to be endemic to Vietnam, where it may be called sồi Braian; the tree grows up to 28 m.[4]
