Puyopuyo!! Quest Arcade (ぷよぷよ!!クエスト アーケード) is a free-to-play puzzle RPG arcade game developed and released by Sega. The game uses designs and characters from the Puyo Puyo series, but features different gameplay than the original falling-object puzzle and added RPG elements.

The game supports ALL.Net system, and uses Sega's Aime Card to store player data and game progress. The game also links with the smartphone game Puyopuyo!! Quest.[1]

It was announced in early 2017 that servers would be terminated on 1 April, 03:59. Since the announcement, playing the game in most locations was made impossible.

Reception

It was reported that the game has 9 million players as of February 2015.[1]

Puyopuyo!! Quest Arcade and its sister smartphone game Puyopuyo!! Quest were nominated for a CEDEC Award in 2014 in the Game Design department, citing that the ingenious linkage of the smartphone and arcade games creates a fulfilling play cycle for the players.[2] The pair did not receive the highest accolade award, which was given to Kantai Collection.[3][4]
