The purple-naped sunbird (Hypogramma hypogrammicum) is a species of bird in the family Nectariniidae. It is placed in the monotypic genus Hypogramma although it is phylogenetically nested within the genus Arachnothera in which it may alternately be treated.[2][3] It is found in Brunei, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam.[1] Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.[4]
