Puls 8 is a privately owned TV channel in German-speaking Switzerland, owned by the German media group ProSiebenSat.1 Media. The channel is based on the concept of Puls 4 in Austria.[1] The broadcast started on 8 October 2015 at 8 pm with the movie Star Trek.

The name of the channel refers to the start of the primetime at 8 pm, which does not start at 8:05 pm or 8:15 pm as at the SRF TV channels or at 8:15 pm as most of the German television channels does.
