Ptychoptera albimana is a species of flies in the family Ptychopteridae. It can be found throughout the Palearctic[1][2][3] but commonly found throughout Britain.[4]

Description

Ptychoptera albimana body mostly black with distinct orange marking usually on the dorsal section. The insect is most active betweenn spring and fall with the female laying 500 eggs.[4]
