Pseudechiniscus is a species of tardigrades in the family Echiniscidae.[1] The species is endemic to the island of São Tomé in São Tomé and Príncipe.[2] The species were named by Paulo Fontoura, Giovanni Pilato and Oscar Lisi in 2010.[2]

As tardigrades are not insects and being lower than insects, it may be considered the only known Tardigrade founded in the nation, unknown there could be a few tardigrade species surrounding the coast more than 200 km away.

Description

This tardigrade species measures between 119 and 168 µm[2]
