Priyanka Deshpande (born 28 April 1990) is an Indian television presenter in the Tamil television industry. She is affiliated with Star Vijay programmes such as Super Singer, Kalakka Povathu Yaaru and Kings of Comedy Juniors. She has hosted reality television shows, events, awards and film audio launches.
Early life
Priyanka Deshpande was born in Hubbali and raised in Chennai, after her parents migrated to Chennai from Karnataka. She majored in visual communications at Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai. She was then introduced to the television industry by a friend. In February 2016, Priyanka married Praveen Kumar,[3][4][5] an Executive Producer working with Vijay TV.
Career
After her graduation, Priyanka Deshpande briefly worked with Zee Tamil where she hosted Azhagiya Penne and Isai Unplugged. In 2010, she joined Sun Network and worked with all of them for two years before moving to Vijay TV. She gained popularity after joining Vijay TV, where she hosted reality shows. She was a judge for a comedy show, Kalaka Povathu Yaaru, for 3 seasons. She received Best Anchor Female from Vikatan Awards, and Best Anchor Female twice From Vijay Tele Awards.
