Priya Anjali Rai (born December 25, 1977), also known as Priya Rai, is an Indian born American pornographic actress.[1][3]

She has worked for renowned porn production companies like Brazzers and Naughty America.

Early life

Rai was born in New Delhi and was adopted by an American couple at age 2.[2] She was raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and attended Arizona State University, where she studied marketing.[4]

Career

Rai worked as a fashion and swimwear model prior to working in the adult industry.[5] Rai was a stripper for 12 years prior to appearing in pornographic films.[5] She entered the adult film industry in 2007[1] at the age of 29.[6]

In June 2013, she announced her retirement from adult films to focus on her mainstream career and personal life.[3] Rai played the lead role of "Isis" in the mainstream horror film Isis Rising: Curse Of The Lady Mummy.[7] In 2014, she was still touring as a feature stripper.[8] On March 22, 2018, Priya announced her comeback after a six-year hiatus.[9] [10]

She has expressed her opposition towards Measure B, a law requiring pornographic actors to wear condoms during all sex scenes filmed in Los Angeles, California.[11]

Personal life

Rai resides in Phoenix, Arizona.[4]

In June 2013, Rai announced that she was engaged to "a very successful businessman" who does not work in the adult industry.[3]
