Prisionero número uno is an upcoming American drama television series produced by Keshet International and Telemundo Global Studios based on an original idea of idea by Shira Hadad and Dror Mishani who will also be executive producers.[1] The series stars Erik Hayser,[2] returning to the network after leaving their mark in the hit telenovela Los miserables.[2]
The series was presented during the Telemundo upfront for the 2018–2019 television season,[3] and revolves around Carmelo Alvarado, a working immigrant who migrates to the United States to escape poverty and, after finding moderate success, is deported to Mexico.[2]
