Princess Marie-Adélaïde of Luxembourg (Marie-Adélaïde Louise Thérèse Wilhelmine; 21 May 1924 – 28 February 2007)[1] was a Luxembourgish princess, the third child and the second daughter of Grand Duchess Charlotte (1896–1985) and Prince Felix of Bourbon-Parma (1893–1970).

Biography

Born at Berg Castle, Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg, as Princess of Luxembourg, Princess of Nassau, Princess of Bourbon-Parma.

With her sister Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Hohenberg, Princess Marie Adelaide attended Convent of the Sacred Heart, Roehampton in Britain during the family's exile in London during World War II.

She married Graf Karl Josef Henckel von Donnersmarck (7 November 1928 – 16 April 2008) on 10 April 1958. They had four children — three sons and a daughter and eight grandchildren:

  • Andreas, Count Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 30 March 1959) — in 1995 he married Princess Johanna von Hohenberg, great-granddaughter of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria (born 1966) and they have four children:
    • Countess Laura Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 21 January 1997)
    • Countess Marie Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 15 August 1998)
    • Count Ludwig Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 25 May 2001)
    • Count Albrecht von Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 27 March 2006)
  • Count Félix Henckel von Donnersmarck (2 March 1960 – 28 October 2007)
  • Count Heinrich Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 13 November 1961) — in 1998 he married Anna-Maria Merckens (born 1969) and they have one son:
    • Count Tassilo Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 24 January 2004)
  • Countess Charlotte Henckel von Donnersmarck (born 4 August 1965) — in 1999 she married Graf Christoph Johannes von Meran (born 1963) and they have three children:
    • Count Johannes Maximilian von Meran (born 28 September 2004)
    • Countess Anna Colienne von Meran (born 28 June 2006)
    • Countess Camilla von Meran (born 8 March 2008)
