Premise

Two fictional British newspapers, with opposing approaches to journalism, have offices on opposite sides of a London square. The Herald, a left-leaning broadsheet, faces financial ruin as they attempt to balance integrity with sales, while its neighbour, tabloid The Post, disregards ethics when chasing a scoop. Herald journalist Holly Evans (Charlotte Riley) is increasingly frustrated with her editor Amina's (Priyanga Burford) cautious approach to the news, and is exposed to the dark temptations of Post editor Duncan Allen (Ben Chaplin).
