Presidential Staff Office of Republic of Indonesia (Indonesian: Kantor Staf Presiden Republik Indonesia) is non-structural government agency directly under and report to President of Indonesia. The office is headed by Chief of Presidential Staff. Previously, the office was named Unit of Presidential Staff (Unit Staf Kepresidenan) based Presidential Decree No.29/ 2014.[1] The current name began to be used based on Presidential Decree No.26/ 2015 dated 23 February 2015 due to expansion in task and function of the office.[2]

Tasks and Functions

Presidential Staff Office primary task is to provide support and assistance to President and Vice President of Indonesia on controlling national priority programs, politics and strategic issue management.[3] In order to perform task as mentioned above, the Office is performing the following functions:[3]

  1. National priority programs management to ensure the programs is aligned with President vision and mission.;
  2. Comprehensive dispute resolution on any national priority programs the encounters any obstacle/problem/dispute;
  3. Accelerate execution of national priority programs;
  4. Monitoring progress of national priority programs;
  5. Strategic issues management;
  6. Politics communication strategy management and dissemination of information;
  7. Provide data and information analysis for strategic decision making;
  8. Execute administrative duty of Presidential Staff Office;
  9. Execute other function as tasked by the President.

  1. Chief of Presidential Staff;
  2. Deputy on Planning, Review, Monitor and Evaluation of National Priority Program;
  3. Deputy on Review and Management of Sosial, Culture and Strategic Ecology Issues;
  4. Deputy on Review and Management of Strategic Economy Issues;
  5. Deputy on Review and Management of Politics, Law, Defense, Security and Human Rights Issues;
  6. Deputy on Politics Communication and Dissemination of Information;
  7. 3 Special Staffs
  8. Head of Secretariat of Presidential Staff Office
