Predrag Štromar (born 13 January 1969) is a Croatian politician who is currently Minister of Construction and Spatial Planning and Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia. He is the acting president of Croatian People's Party since June 6, 2017. [1]

Biography

Predrag Štromar was born in Varaždin on 13 January 1969. In Varaždin he finished Secondary school 1987 and 1993 he laid Faculty of Economics in Zagreb.

Political career

He was the župan (prefect) of Varaždin County from 2009 to 2017. Since 2016 to 2017 he is an assistant of President of Croatian People's Party. From 1990 he is a member of Croatian People's Party (HNS). Since 9 June 2017 he is a Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia and he is a Minister of Construction and Spatial Planning. On June 6, 2017 he was named the acting president of Croatian People's Party (HNS) instead Ivan Vrdoljak.

Personal life

Štromar was born in Vinica, Varaždin County. He is married and has two daughters.[2] He speaks English.
