Prasuti is a Hindu goddess, who is the daughter of Svayambhuva Manu[1] and Shatarupa; wife of Daksha[2][3] and mother of many daughters by him, including the goddess Sati.
Marriage and children
Marriage of Daksha and Prasuti was the first marriage in Hinduism. Daughters were born to them; some of them are: Svaha (wife of Agni), Swadha (wife of Pitras), Diti and Aditi (both wives to Kashyapa), and Sati (wife of Shiva). Another daughter, Khyati, is married to Bhrigu; their child is the great goddess of beauty and wealth — Lakshmi.
