Prasad Srinivasan (born November 19, 1949) is a physician and politician who represents the town of Glastonbury in the Connecticut House of Representatives.

Career

Srinavasan was born in India and graduated from medical school there.[1] He immigrated to the United States in 1975.[2]

Srinavasan is an allergist in Glastonbury, Connecticut.[3] He was first elected to the state House in 2010.[1] In 2016, he was elected for the fourth time in a row as CT representative for the 31st District.[1][4]

Srinivasan received the 2013 "Legislator of the Year" Award from the Connecticut chapter of the American College of Surgeons,[5] and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.[6] He was one of 18 Indian Americans who was given a Hind Ratan Award from the President of India in 2008.[7]

Srinivasan was a candidate for the Republican nomination for governor of Connecticut in 2018.[8][1]
