Prana Krushna Parija OBE (1 April 1891 – 2 June 1978)[1] at Balikuda, Jagatsinghpur, Odisha.[2][3] He was a Botanist, academician and former Vice chancellor of Utkal University. [4] He worked as a principal in Ravenshaw University (formerly Ravenshaw College), Cuttack[5][6]Pro Vice-Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi[7] and Vice-Chancellor of Utkal University, Bhubaneswar.[8] The "Parija Library" of the university is named after him.[9] He was working as a scientist for agricultural development in Orissa.[6][10] He was an elected member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.[11]
